The Offices of the Order
As with any organization, the Franciscan Order of the Divine Compassion has a structure to assist with the running of the Order and serving it's members.
Our Offices are:
Minister-General - This office is the supreme leader of the FODC and to assist him, there is a council of advisors, or the Discretorium.
The Discretorium is comprised of:
The Vicar General - who assists the Minister General in the daily, world wide running of the Order
The Secretary-General - who assist the Minister General by performing such functions as: Membership information, Meeting notes, scheduling Chapter nd so on.
The Guardian - who oversees the formation of the Postulants
The Novice Master - who oversees the formation of Novice Brothers
The Novice Mistress - who oversees the formation of Novice Sisters
The Almoner - who acts as Procurer and Treasurer of the Order
The Provincial Minister of the Americas - who oversees the Provinces and Custodias within the Americas
The Provincial Minister of the Diaspora - who oversees the Brothers and Sisters not belonging to a fellowship, the Companions and Provinces outside the Americas
Each office is filled by members selected by the Minister General and all offices are servants of the Order and Member.
